Research
Understanding the deleterious effects of antibiotics on mammalian cells. The ultimate goal is to evaluate the long-term effects of antibiotics on mammalian cells and determine if prolonged usage would lead to mutagenesis using molecular biology techniques including RT2-PCR, genomic and mitochondrial DNA sequencing and microarray analysis on primary cells and in vivo mice studies.
